Today we had our very first snow of the season.
And it’s my birthday.
The combination is leaving me a bit giddy.
In celebration, I am sharing this quote on the first snow. Though in reading it again, I think the same emotion can be applied to birthdays.

Lovely quote! I've recently discovered your blog via Nan's (Letters from a Hill Farm) and have spent a few hours reading through your archives. You have such a way with words and I find myself nodding my head in agreement as I read your posts. (I, too, watched Days of Our Lives with my mom when I was home sick; loved reading Goofus & Gallant in the dentist office as a child; my daughter and I look remarkably alike, although I don't see it except in pictures when we were both little girls; your "returning place is Maine--mine is Del Mar, California)
